Welcome to Scrapbook Challenges' Thank you so much Pamela Blog Hop.

If you have just started your hop, You might want start at Brynn's blog. If you are coming from Jackie's blog then you are in the right place. :)

I would like to take a moment and tell you about Pamela Young. She is an amazing woman, Mom, designer, artist, creator of Scrapb ook Challenge s and most of all incredible friend. I am so grateful to have met and worked with/for Pamela. She started Scrapbook Challenges on Myspace and grew it to over 1000 members, She designed all the sketches that the design team used every week to create their layouts.

She later moved the site to Ning, were it grew even more. She and the DT added tutorials, classes, chats, blog hops and other fun things. she continued to work with sponsors to bring Scrapbook Challenges to a higher level. Pamela also continued to work on her own personal scrapping skills and was recognized for it by being published several times. She was also asked to be a part of several design teams for manufactures. She is an inspiration to many -- especially me.

Ok, now about me -- fun I know LOL! Here are some fun facts about me.

I've been scrapping since 1998. I started out so very basic. I was afraid to mess it up. Then, I got over it and started to really scrap. I've been scrapping ever since. I have three super incredible children 2 girls and 1 boy. They are talented in so many ways. My very, very supportive husband and I have been married for 21 years and together for over 22 years. we have 3 super cute dogs and we all live in the very hot, humid, sunny state of Florida!! Although, I grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey. Same as Frank Sinatra. I just don't have the blue eyes. I can't live without music!!! I am my family's Weird Al. I love to change the words to Pop songs to make my own songs. I am a Lego maniac - I really love them and can play with them for hours with or without the kids. I have 2 brothers and 1 Sister (who I got into scrapbook in 2002 and she now has more scrapbook stuff and I do - Ok, let's be honest she has more stuff and a store! LOL)

I found Scrapbook Challenge through Scrapbook Calls. Pamela was in search of a new design team and I applied for it, much to my surprise she picked me. I was honored to be a part of her design team. Pamela, the other Scrapbook Challenge design team members and Scrapbook Challenges community helped me grow in in my scrapping. The challenges inspired, and made me at time go outside my comfort zone which I LOVE. I know that I have learned so much from everyone on the site.

I wanted to share a sketch created Pamela with you. It inspired me to do the layout below.

It's been awhile since I've been on here. I haven't stop scrapping just haven't been posting here. Because things keep me from taking a moment to post. So, sorry about that. Fran's Facebook contest

Some of you may have noticed that my sweet hubby is promoting my blog to all of his facebook friends. He started a contest and would love it if you would join in on all the fun. Here is his status post:

Fran Collins Attention: All females that like scrapbooking, males that like scrapbooking or males and females that know females and males that like scrapbooking. My wife is an avid scrapbooker. Annie is a Certified Fiskars Demonstrator, this means she can give classes on Fiskars tools. She is on a scrapbook design team. Annie also ...runs her own blog focusing on scrapbooking. Her blog is becoming popular and we want it to grow. I am running a contest for the month of February. Welcome to Scrapbook Challenges New Year’s Blog Hop. This is a long post but SO WORTH IT!! Read, play and have fun!

This blog hop is design to help you get to know the Scrapbook Challenges Design Team, Pamela the owner of Scrapbook Challenge and the New Scrapbook Challenges site better. During the hop you will notice lots of prizes and a challenge (see below). I hope you participate in all of them.
I am Annie and I am returning member of the Design Team. This will be my 4th term on the Scrapbook Challenges Design Team. Here’s a little information about me. I've been scrapbooking for over 10yrs. now. I really enjoy creating layouts, mini albums and altered items for my family and friends. I love to introduce and teach other to our wonderful creative world.

Now, let me tell you a bit about Scrapbook Challenges and Pamela the founder of Scrapbook Challenges. We have a weekly sketch challenge, with an original, never seen before sketch designed by the amazing Pamela Young, a highly talented and published artist. Pamela starts her once little group a few years back on Myspace. Now we have move to our New home over on Ning.

Some of the things you’ll find on our site are a new sketch along with DT lo's posted every Monday, a Photoshop, a digital and technique challenge posted once a month. Plus, we also have other wonderful challenges that are issue by the design team & site members. We also love to feature our members in a special feature section on our site. We’re planning lots of wonderful things like having Guest designers, monthly events and tutorials. As well as, other fantastic things. Everyone who completes a challenge gets entered into a drawing for a prize from our monthly sponsor. Pamela does a fantastic job securing amazing sponsors each month!

I know that I haven't posted in a while.

Life has gotten really crazy for me lately. Let's see -- we moved to a new place in October. All the kids got real sick, they are all well now. DH got really sick - we had a real scare with him. Thank God! he is all better now. I have been well real sick myself. No telling when I'll be better.

Then the holidays came and we got right into celebrating that I just didn't stop by to post. Now a new year will be here and I am hoping for all good things.

I know that I haven't been on lately but, that doesn't mean I haven't been working. I did some fun thing with the kids. Like these cups youngest DD & I made just for fun and a Card that my DD (same one) taught me. Yes, my kids are into teaching classes lately. they teach all different things to friends & family. they have sign up sheets and I help with with the materials - I been using up all of my old stuff. They love it.

I seem to have forgotten to stop by and post the rest of the layout from last week. Today I'll share both last Monday's and today with you.

Today's Sketch and layout.

I doodled and stamped the background to create the sidewalk drawing the kids made.

Title close up - the chipboard letters are from Target's dollar spot. The little chalk I made from paper. My DS wanted them on the page.

The letter are American Crafts that my DH bought for me - I set him to get thickers and when he couldn't find them he thought these would be nice. So, not to hurt his feelings I use them. The little puffy letters I found the other day at the Dollar Tree.

This little bear is my DD love. So, instead of the bird I did the bear. I just happen to have in my stash some velvet paper and mulberry paper that made a cute bear.

I wanted to share a mini album that my DD (who is 10yrs old) taught a small group of us (mostly family & friends). I wrote about this on a earlier post. DD was wanting to do and teach a project. I gave her a summer kit. I had from when I use to sell TLC products. I added a few little extras.

I have to say she did an amazing job teaching the little class. She taught a mini tag album.

Here is my version of the album. I hope to give her more opportunities to create and teach little classes.

I wanted to share this. I am not sure what to call it. We finally decided on Zeborse. Yes, for Zebra and Horse. My oldest DD took these pictures of a Horse? Zebra? Anyway, We went about 5 minutes away from our suburbian home to the country. And one of the farmers has this Zeborse on their property. The kids were amazed by this. My youngest DD was in love!! She LOVES zebras and horses - so this animal is perfection to her.
If you know what this is Horse or Zebra we would love to know.*** I did some googling and I found this site on Zorse ***
So maybe that's what is .

So awhile back my sister and I went to the Scrapbook Expo. My sister insisted we take a few classes. We took a class by The Paper Craft Station called "All Mixed Up". Well, like most of the classes at expos not enough time. I decided to finish it up at home and I add a lot more to my album than the instruction told us to do. I like adding lots of little things to my albums. Over all it was a fun class.

Wow! it seem like I haven't been on here in such a long time. Well, my company is finally all gone. We had family and friends over to celebrate DD graduation, also winning first place in the county at the movie awards -- for the movie - she & the rest of her gifted created. Our DS promotion and nomination to the gifted program.

I did squeeze in some scrapbooking in all the festivities. I did a layout using Scrapbook Challenges Sketch created by our talented leader Pamela. I usually post it on Mondays. I did a few mini albums I'll posted those in a bit.

Here is my layout. I have been wanting to scrap these pictures forever. I decided to do the title old school - I was inspired by the movie ad for Away We Go & the print ad for Huggies diapers. The flowers are I cut from fabric.

So, I'm feeling better today. I had a full and sick crazy last week. we're officially on summer break!! Yeah!! The graduation was fantastic! I loved that they did a flash back of each child and teacher from baby to current.

I have to share that on Tuesday my DD had her 5th grade social. A boy in her class gave her flowers. She was the only girl to receive flowers. To tell the truth - the boy has had a crush on her since 3rd grade. His mom told me at the graduation that he saved his money and tried to find her purple roses(her favorite color) but, couldn't find any. So, he got her these instead. How cute is that!!!

It's Monday! That means a new sketch and layout. Here is the sketch that Pamela of Scrapbook Challenges created.

Here is the layout I did. I love this layout because it includes all the grandparents in my children's lives. It's also a sweet picture of my girls and my mom who is no longer with us. She was so proud of the girls that day. She loved celebrating school accomplishments. The kids & I really miss her.

Close up of branches I drew & hand cut these. Then I stickled them because they needed a little something.

I'm not sure if you remember me telling you that I went to a Fiskateer flip flop crop last month. One of the challenges we had to do was create flip flops. These are my flip flops. I found the orange flip flops at Walmart. I used ribbons & fibers to decorate them. I also made some charms of Fiskars tools for them. I made them using Shrink film. I didn't win the contest. :( but, I did have fun creating the flip flops.

I drew & hand cut the charms. I first drew them on paper. Then, I traced the tools onto the shrink film with a sharpie. Then I used color pencils & Bic marks to color them. Then shrank them with my heat gun. I think they turned out cool!

Here is the Sketch and my take on the sketch.

Thanksgiving Parade

The stickers letters are Basic Grey- they where another color so I colored them with a copper Slick writer.I also used the Slick writer to go around the lo. I used my white Signo pen to highlight the word Thanksgivinig. The journal spot is from Target's dollar spot. Autumn Leaves tab and a small cluster of felt shapes.

What a busy week it's been. I went on 2 - yes 2 field trips and 1 amazing Fiskateer crop! I'm am so tired! I do have to say I had a blast all week long. The trip and the crop were amazing!

On the first trip - we (my son's class and I) went to the Rain Forest Cafe at Disney. The kids had so much fun with all the animals. Even if they weren't real.

Second trip -My daughter's 5th grade - We (my daughter's class and I) went to Island of Adventure at Universal Studios. We had the biggest surprise ever - when The Blue Man Group gave us FREE tickets to their show because the our school's 5th grade classes had top score in the state on testing. The Blue Man Group are so incredible. If you can see this show go see it.

Because we has the trips and the crop I cooked a few do ahead meals so the we could heat and serve. I am so glad I did that!! So there went my week. I realize that with the excitement of getting things ready for weeks events I forgot to post last Monday's sketch and layout. So, today you'll get two sketch's and layouts. Last Monday and today's.

I'm feeling creative today. How about you?

Well, I have to admit I am a bit obsessed with BoBunny's Edgy Album from the moment I saw it I said Oooooohhhhh! I have to have it.

Unfortunately, I put myself on a no scrappy-spend diet. So I thought to myself ..."I think I can make that". So, I took some time this morning to try it out. I gathered some supplies, medium thickness chipboard, recycled medium thickness clear plastic (from my new Fiskars trimmer), ruler, craft mat, blue photo pencil, deco edge scissors, my Ultra Shape Express cutter and templates, Big Bite crop-a-dile(not shown), and my Fiskars Bypass Trimmer.

I cut my chipboard and plastic to the sizes I felt were good. I used the blue photo pencil, ruler & craft mat to measure the plastic. The blue pencil shows up on the plastic so it easy to see for cutting.

Then I used my deco edge scissors and my USX plus template to create the edges I like. Then I punched my holes for binding with my Big Bite Cropadile. highlighted the edges here so yu can see then.

Now, All I have to do is decorate and add pictures. I'll be working on this over the next few days.

First, I have finish this mini album for my friend/neighbor. I trying to get her into scrapbooking. She is very interested but is so scared of ruining the pictures, and not being creative enough. I decided to make her is little album as a jump start. I did a few pages and left the rest for her to do. I'm giving her some embellishments and a journaling pen. I kept things very simple so not to intimated her.

I love making this mini album because it's made from 1 sheet of 12x12 cardstock & pattern paper, small pieces of chipboard, some ribbon, embellishments and scraps of paper.

Even if you don't celebrate it -- It's always fun do something for Cinco de Mayo. We will be having homemade Chicken Enchiladas tonight YUM!!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!! I have to get some scrapping done today.

It has been a busy weekend so far. Yesterday - We (DH & I) took DD to her All County Chorus practice and show. The show was beyond Amazing those kids were so incredibly good! I took alot of pictures. The girls we took back and forth with us were so great to be with such ladies!

Today we had birthday parties to attend. The kids love it. I am so tried. Did some one say NAP! I think I need one.

I finished my masked layout I think it came out pretty good. Fisrt picture is of the layout after painted it. The seconded one is of the finished layout.

I created my out ticker sticker letters. I did some outline around the photos along with word (aargh, matey, me treasure & walk the plank) in white pen. I have to journal.

He's the Pirate that doesn't so anything.

Tomorrow, wIll be a busy day. We have to take DD to chorus pratice all day for the show later in the evening. I can't wait to see the show. The girls haved worked so hard for this. It's the All County Chorus show.

We're having a hot one here in FL. I don't know what happen to Spring?!? I think it only here in the evening. Last night we went for a walk after dinner and it was so beautiful out. Yes, I'm trying to lose weight - I can't use the excuse "It's from being pregnant" anymore - DARN! LOL.

I have my creative juices flowing today I hope I can use them to make alot of projects. I have a few more challenges to do from SC. Some that I started and want to finish.

I working on the challenge posted Marilyn at Scrapbook Challenges. It use a masking technique and some paint or ink on a layout. So, DH took some cute picture of our son dressed up in a pirate hat and eye patch. Our son was singing the song the pirates that don't do anything from Veggie Tales too funny!

Anyway, I decided to make a jolly roger for my mask I drew a skull and cross bones then cut it out with my Fiskars fingertip craft knife (which if you don't have one - you NEED to get one!!! It's so much easier to use).

I think it came out pretty good. Now, later today after I pick up the kids from school I am doing the layout.

I wanted to share Monday's SC sketch and my layout for it.

I have to admit that I love the way the flower came out on this layout. I use Fiskars USX and Oval template to create it.

Some work. I am still working on some layouts.

Here is Mondays sketch for Scrapbook Challenges.

Here is my layout for this sketch. I am not sure that I like it. I guess it didn't come out like what I had in my head. The letters are made from scans from the napkins we used to dry the eggs. They created a tyed dye effect on the napkins. After I printed the scans I traced American Crafts stickers onto the print. I crumbled, folded and sprayed the cardstock with paint.

Now here is another layout I made. I really like this one.

over. Scrapbook Circle annouced the Design Team members today. I can tell you that you will NOT find my name on it. I want to congrat the ladies that did make it.

I don't know about you but, we here in FL had awful storms yesterday. Lots of hail, rain and wind - lots of wind!! A few tornados did touch down I thankd God that we're are fine and that no one was hurt in these storms.

So that mean a new layout to post. Scrapbook Challenges Sketch layout.

Here is the sketch Pamela made.

Here is my layout to go with it. I add a little pastic mesh at the base of the tree for some texture. The tree is made of cork and the leaves are cut from fabric.

Here the title close up. I covered chipboard letters with plastic mesh (reused from the onion bag) and then added some glitter over it.

The birds is made from plastic from scrapbook packing.

I sent in my submissions for Scrapbook Circle design team and now the waiting begins. I hope I make it. I spent most of last night wondering if I submitted the best layout or not. After I sent them in - I thought I should of sent in this one oh no that one. But, what's done is done and I hope it was enough.

So, today is a new day and I'm working on a new mini album sort of a Bobunny type of mini album. I have a lot of chipboard so I decided to try making one of my own.

I am also going to make a mini album for one of my neighbors. I want to get her into scrapbooking. This is the way I just know it. Hehe.

I know that I haven't been on in a Looooong time! Life has been real busy and with three kids these things happpen. I even missed a dead line for trying out for a design team. Well, that's my story. LOL Ok Since my last post I've been busy scrapping some pages.

Looking for inspiration. I found some in Bebe (from Scrapbook Challenges) she has a style of her own and she is a new scrapper. Pamela of Scrapbook Challenges is so full of inspiration. I am always wowed by Sookie She's a fellow design team member on Scrapbook Challenges. I've been finding alot of it in the gallery over at the Fiskateers.

I was able to teach my girls along with some of their friends how to make some Easter baskets. I have to say they did a great job. My girls love to craft and scrapbook. This was the first time for their friends and now they are hooked.

Here is today's sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.

This what I did with the sketch. I've had these pictures of my sisters wedding for a while now. Ok almost 12 years now.I made the flower out of heart that I cut using my Fiskar Ultra Shape Express and Heart Template

I need to finish getting my little projects done for tomorrow. I really enjoy doing Love projects. I did do some scrapping - which has made me happy since I was in a funk. I really like the way these layouts came out. I think I have to check my camera. I am not sure why some of these came out so dark. Ok, so here are the pages. It's been a long time since I stopped by and blogged. Life has been so busy lately. I am so happy to say that I was asked to stay on the Scrapbook Challenges Design Team for another term. I'm starting to get my creative juices flowing again. They left me for a bit. But, I feel like things are inspiring me again.

I hope to start posting some fun things again. I currently working on a few things at once. I am moving the Scrappy Chix MSN group to another forum and I am trying to complete a few challenges post on Scrapbook Challenges. These ladies are so inspirational and creative.

I have to get going on my projects. I did some today which I hope to post later. I have to come up with an easy card for my son to make for his class exchange. His teacher decided that this year all the kids would make a card for each student in the class and have a card exchange. I like the idea I just need some thing a 7 yr. old can do and make 20 of them. I have one idea I just need to see how hard it is for him to do. So, Are you doing a card exchange?

I'm excited about the online crop Fiskateers is having this weekend. I hope that you can join in on all the fun. I have to clear my desk so that I can join in on the fun too.

It's been a while since I blogged. I have to admit I have been feeling down. I always get down this time of year. I remember my Mom and how much I miss her and get real down. Then I remember that I have to go on and be stronge for my kids and start to get going. So the holidays are coming and boy, I am getting excited about them.

I want to share that Rowynn was published in the school paper. She did a outstanding article about Thanksgiving. Liam received A-B Honor Roll. and Kaitlyn is getting into the follow of things.

I have to share a fun story with all of you. Today on my way to school (dropping off the kids) I saw a lovely bunch of ladies on the golf course -- they were seniors. Dressed in matching outfits I thought how cool a group thing. Well, on the way back I was stopped by one of the ladies. She asked if I wouldn't mind taking a picture or two of them. It was a special day for one of them it was Helen's 80th birthday. Her son had special shirts made for them that read - The Golf Club Girls. They all met when they work at a golf course when they were young girls and stayed friends throughout the years.

I agreed to take the pictures and wish Helen a happy birthday. She told me that she picked me from all the other moms going by because she noticed my scrapbook t-shirt and knew I would appreciate a good picture. Helen is right on that one. I think how wonderful to celebrate your 80th birthday and still be so close with all your friends. Amazing!

I have to say I too have some wonderful friends. Cherrie -- is amazing she checked up on me just to see how I was doing during my past few days away from the computer. Nikki -- also checked up on me to be sure I was doing well. Rebbeca -- Lead Fiskateer herself sent me a little packed just because she was thinking of me and wanted to say hello. Amazing to have such wonderful people in my life that care.

I just wanted to share some of the things I've been doing. I was given a mission on the Fiskateers - I am part of the FCIA by Lead Fiskateer Angela Daniels. My mission was called Boo. In this mission you had to leave some Halloween goodies on a neighbors door along with a sign that reads BOO! and a cute poem.

I had my kids do the dropping off - Well, they really wanted to do it. We hit three different nieghborhoods. For the neighbors that didn't do anyscrapbooking or crafting I created some cute mini albums alon with some intructions. I know that they are picture takers.

Mini album covers & a view of the inside. They all have removable tags for more pictures and journaling. All paper except Cardstock (black & orange) are Cloud 9.

Also as part of the Scrapbook Challenge DT. I had to do a challenge this week. I do one one called "File it" under C for challenge. You have to use a file folder in a layout or project. I made this mini album using a file folder. I used some Cloud 9 paper for this too. But from a prize I won from Lead Fiskateer Kelly Jo.

What a Morning...

This morning my youngest DD Rowynn- along with about ten other students where honored at school. They received awards for achievement in academics. She received another award for being the top in the state in the FCAT (this is a state standard test). After we (DH & me) were asked by the counselor to stay a minute and she told us about the Baccalaureate Program that they (the school & county) want Rowynn to go into. I feel that it's the best program for Rowynn. She is already doing a Duke University Program. I am very proud of Rowynn. She has a Beautiful mind. Best of all she has a Beautiful heart.

Now, As for me I have to admit I went a bit camera crazy. I have now upload all those pictures and pick a few of my favorites and make her a layout.

My classes at the Collins Group trade show turned out great. Everyone finished their mini albums. They loved them. Then later in the evening I was the assistant to the Certified Fiskars Demo class. It was a large class all store owners. It was a fun class.

Then I got home to my family ad we did a lot of fun family stuff over the weekend. This week I have to a LO posted for the Scrapbook Challenge DT. I have to come up with a challenge for later this month.

I'll post the one I did for this week a bit later. I've been asked to make some fiskafairies. I'm also done with those. I have a few more classes to teach this month which is good.

We have to start decorating the outside of the house for Halloween which we love to do. We were going to do it over the weekend but, since I was teaching that was postponed to this weekend.

So for the past few posts I have been telling you about the cute cards & drawing I received from my children. Today I'm going to share them. As well, as finished layouts.

Here are the cards the girls made for me.

My Oldest DD made the butterfly card.

My youngest DD made me this card. i love that she made a heart with puzzle pieces with all the People and things I love.

This is a drawing my son made for me. It's him and me. My heart shaped cake with love candles, and heart keys for his heart. It reads come in. I love it.

Here is the card my son made for me. It's a laptop card. He over heard me tell DH that I needed my own computer. Then DH saw a laptop that comes with outer skins called Tattoos and told DS "Ooohhh! your mother would love that". So, my son decided that he should make me one.

This is a layout I did for a challenge. We had to leave some white space. I colored in the flowers , branches and leaves with color pencils, then cut them out and pop the up. Used some lace and little ribbon too.

I made this layout for the SYC Leave your Mark Challenge. I like the way ti turned out. I hand drew all of the flourishes, leaves and flowers. Then colored them in with color pencils and a white signo pen.

You know the song sing along as you read. Today is a beautiful day! Sunny & clear skies, a cool breeze just what I've been dreaming about! It feels like Fall ok so this morning did. I know that by now it's Summer again.

To add to the happiness of a touch of Fall I just found out that one of my mini albums has been accepted for publication. I'll post more about in a few days. I am very excited about it.

I love being on the Scrapbook Challenges Design Team. So decided to try out for another. I was feeling a bit down because I didn't make the design team. Then I got "We want your work" call and I felt happy again. I am still waiting to hear on another design team--- I know another one... Yes, This girl has to keep going. Keep Trying.

I know I owe you some drawing. I have to scan them and post. They are too cute. I have the most creative children ever!!

Because I've been asked by Fiskars to teach a class for them at a trade show. The Collins Group is hosting a trade show for independent scrapbook store owners here in Florida. I feel so honored to be asked to do this. I'll be teaching a mini album class; which is great I love mini albums.

Later, in the same day I will be a Fisk-a-assistant to Meghan the Certified Fiskars Trainer for a large group that will be taking the certification class. It's going to be a long and exciting day.

More Inspiration....

So, I 'll continue on the Finding Inspiration.... Today I find inspiration in the face of my neighbor. She is a grandmother that walks her grandchildren to school, we chat everyday mostly small talk. Every morning we go through a little routine. I say "Good Morning, How are you?" She replies "Blessed - Good Morning to you too". This morning her answer was a bit different today she replied with a glow on her face and a twinkle in her eye. "Blessed - because my son and his wife -- after many years of trying are having a baby!! Nothing in the world could make me more happy!! I am truely blessed. They are truely blessed!" Her joy inspired me to look at my blessings.

Today is my son's birthday-- seven years ago today. I was overjoyed to have my little boy in my arms. I had waited for him a long time. You see I too tried many times to have more children. We - had our first child, then tried many years to have more. Nothing - until one day we were blessed with our second child. They were both girls - truely loved girls! As we all know girls are all about their dads. So, when I finally had my little boy -- All I could hope for was that he would be all about me. He didn't disappoint! He is really all about mom giving him some lovin'.

So, I felt my neighbors joy from deep down inside. I really got me in a creative mood. Who knows what will come out of this day.

Now on a fun note...... I spoke the other day about my daughter drawing me a little picture that gave me inspiration. Here is her drawing.

Finding Inspiration Continues

Ok, yesterday I wrote about finding inspiration everywhere. I then wrote:

"So I am looking for inspiration everywhere today. I even found some in the litte drawings my kids left for me this morning."

I decided to make a little something out those drawing. I'll post my daughter a bit later not quite finished with hers. Here is my son's drawing. Yes, that owl has a Mohawk. My son loves them so every little draw he does someone or something has to have one.

Today is a good day to go out and find inspiration. I was just over my friend Pinky's blog she has the cutest flowers on there. You would love to have those for a layout.
May has some sneak peeks of her upcoming classes - go check it out. Cherrie she is always inspiring me. Lea is beyond inspiration. I wish I had some of that girl's talent!

Then there is Angela Daniels she has some funny stuff on her blog too. Laughing is inspirational and she such an Artful Blogger!!!

Some New Projects

I posted earlier that I was working on some projects. Here are two them. I will be posting some more later. This first one is a little binder key chain. It is a little gift that was given to me a longer time ago. It's a Creative Memories mini binder for pictures or stickers I can't remember which one. I covered the front and back of it with paper. I used Paper Modge Podge(yes, it comes just for paper and it's acid free). To cover the logo. I used Heidi Grace Stickers and a Foam Heart to decorate the cover.

Then I created mini pages for the inside. I use all the dimensional sticker and doodads on the out side of the mini page protectors because i like the way it looks and feels.

The Second project is a little purse i made using Fiskars Circle Shape Express Template and Cutter. I made a little one. You could put a small gift in it or some candy. I want to make a bigger one next.

I just think it's so cute and fun. I working on some off the page projects and mini albums. I have a few challenges to complete. So I'll try to post those later too.

I have some exciting news to share. No not about me but, my daughter. She was selected to be on the school newspaper. This is the first year the school will be doing a newspaper. I can't believe that my little girl will be published by the end of the month. How cool is that!?!

She is also receiving an award for being top in the state in the FCAT(this will be the second one she'll receive). State test done here in FL. It's a big deal here.

I am very proud of her!

Now, My son. Who is turning 7 this month. Has told me that a girl in his class likes him and wants to kiss him. WHAT!!!! Already!! I am not ready for this at all.

I am working on a few projects I hope to post them later.

My Scrapbook Challenges Design Team Layout

Here is my version. The title is made with cloud 9 alpha sticker with dimensional paint on them. I also used the paint directly to the photo.

The large one is a Heidi Swapp Ghost flower cover with paint topped with another paper flower with some stickles on it. The scroll work is white Iridescent dimensional fabric paint with some Eucalyptus stickles over it. the dots are green Rain Dots (cloud 9).

I'm laying a bit low today. I am felling down -- My babies had a bad day yesterday. Their pet hamster passed away. The worst thing is that they only had him for about 4 days. I feel so bad for them. They pooled their money togethter to get him. I wasn't so sure from the begining but, since they worked together to buy and care for him I agreed.

So yesterday afternoon just I had to leave to pick them up from school my oldest found him in his cage. So sad -- Long night of tears.

So today I'm tired and drained. I have to get my getupandgo because i have so many other projects to do. So I'm hope that in a few it will kick in.

All Wet!!

My morning has been wet. I stepped into my scrap area and relized that the carpet was wet. We had a flood. Our AC is busted and started to leak. So I managed to pick up everything i could I had to move everything out and start shop vacing it all. Now we have get the AC fixed. Aahh Life.

I guess I need to change things around anyway. So my bad day is going to be your good day. I have a cute round Tin{about 4" in diameter} perfect for altering and creating a mini album inside. I'll fill it with some flowers{silk & paper} that would be a nice giveway. Yes, they are dry and clean just in case you are wondering-LOL

All you have to do is leave me a comment about your day good or bad and I'll pick a winner on Wednesday.

On Friday - I attended another Certified Fiskars Demonstrator Training at my local AC moore. I went to support Rebecca (Lead Fiskateer) & Meghan. It was great to see so many ladies excited about the program.
I was able to catch up with a friend and make new ones like Linda "The Arrow" Fiskateer -- she is so much fun. After, my sister (who happens to be a Fiskateer), Denise, Cherrie and I went out dinner. Then we went to a crop at Piktails my local scrapbook store. We closed the place down.

Rebecca & Meghan were there spreading the Fiskateer Love! They had prizes and make & takes for all the ladies at the crop. I was so happy to see so much Fiskalove. I know we will be getting some new Fiskateers real soon. WooHoo!! I was able to help out when needed which was a lot of fun.

I have to tell you that Rebecca is a hoot! That girl can really make you bust a stitch from laughing.

I finally decided to create a blog. I know -- I'm a bit late to get on the wagon. Yet, here I am.

So why now? I hope that I can inspire people to create. I love to scrapbook, sew, paint and do general crafts. I love to introduce others to scrapbooking by sharing my projects and teaching them how to do layouts.
