Magical Frame With Clear Scraps

Hello Crafty Friends - I am here with fun picture frame Clear Scrap. I used the Base with Scallop Frame along with the Word n Shape: Magical - Mouse.

Supplies Used:
EK Success 12x12 Minnie Red Dot Paper
Craft Smart: Acrylic Paints- Black, Red, & White
Distress Oxide Ink: Lumberjack Plaid
Bearly Art Acetate
Bearly Art Foam Tape - Black
Gorilla Wood Glue
Mod Podge - Paper
Elmer Glue Dots
Red Line Double-Sided Adhesive
Tools:
Scissors
Pencil
Paint Brushes
Foam Brush
Craft Mat
Duck Brand - Clean Release Painter's Tape
Small Water Bucket
Paper Towels

This project came together pretty quickly.

Step. 1 -  I started by painting the base in black. I painted both pieces avoiding the center of the bottom layer of the base. * no need to paint it since it won't be seen* Set aside to dry.

Step. 2 -  I traced the frame onto the back of the pattern paper. Next I trimmed it out and set it aside. I painted the frame pieces with red paint. *Note- I didn't paint the insides of the frame pieces.

Step 3. - Once the frame pieces were dry I adhered the paper frame onto the front of the frame with some Mod Podge paper adhesive. *TIP: the paper version of this adheseive is low water content to avoid buckling* I used it on the front of the frame as well to seal the paper.

Step. 4 - I masked the bottom half of the mouse head to create the iconic look. I painted the top half with black paint.

Next, Once the top was dry.  I maksed the top half  and painted the bottom half with red paint.

Once the head was dry I adhered 2 buttons to the red half with some glue spots.

Next, I painted the word Magical with some white paint.

Step. 5 - I adhered the base using wood glue & placed some heavy blocks on top of them to let them set.

Step. 6 - I assembled the frame. I started by putting some strong adhesive on the back of the face o fthe frame. I then placed the acetate onto the strong adhesive.

Next, I added some black foam tape on top of the acetate in a U shape. So, that I could insert my photo later. I removed the back paper and add some strong liner tape on top of the faom tape and place the onto the back piece.

here is what the side and top of the frame looks like.

Step. 7 - I gather all my pieces and did a dry fit of the frame, mouse head and word.  Once I like the place I remove each piece add a bit of wood glue and set in place.

Now, the Magical frame is complete!

Thank you for stopping by the blog today. I hope you found some inspiration!
