I started by cutting my card base and bridge pieces. For the base I cut my cardstock to 4-1/2"x 5-3/4".
I scored the base at 1-1/2", & 3" - Then trimmed a hair off each end(long side only). this will help the card lay flat to fit in the envelope.
I cut 2 pieces of cardstock at 1-1/2" x 5-1/2"
Score them at 1/2", 2-3/8", 3-1/8", & 5"
Next, I trimmed my pattern paper for the base I cut 3 pieces. Each piece is 1-1/4" x 51/2"
I adhered them to the card base.
Then, I trimmed the pieces for the bridge panels. I cut 4 pieces at 1-5/8" x 1-1/4" and
2 pieces at 1/2" x 1-1/4"
I adhered them in place.
Next, I adhered the two bridge panels onto the base. I glued the little tabs to the back of the base at the top and bottom.
It should look like this. I set it a side while I worked on the Dragonfly.
I gathered the Clear Scraps: Dragonflies Chipboard Embellishments and trimmed out one Dragonfly. I got the VersaMark ink, the embossing powder and dmy heat tool.
I pressed the ink onto the dragonfly covering it completely. I pressed it several times to make sure I had plenty of ink on the dragonfly.
I then covered the dragonfly with embossing powder. Shook off the excess powder.
Heat Set the powder. This emossing powder had gold glitter in it for extra shine.
I then trimmed a piece of acetate to about 1/2" x 4 " strip. I then placed the dragonfly onto the acetate and marked with a red alcohol marker through the heart. Removed the dragonfly and made the dot a bit bigger.
Next, I adhered the dragonfly onto the acetate strip.
I then place a tiny piece of tear tape on each end of the acetate strip.
I then adhered the stip into the center of the card.
Next, I stamp and embossed the sentiment using the same embossing powder that I used for the dragonfly. I die cut the sentiment and a few more blank piece and adhered them together to create a firm piece.
I adhered the senitment to the bottom bridge panel. Finally, I added a few peridot gems for a finshing touch.
Now, the card is complete!
