Friends, Birthdays and Betty Boop...

The month of May was filled with lots of fun activities for our family. We had Mother's day, school functions, Our youngest daughter was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. Then there was a few birthdays -- my hubby's, several other family members and 2 neighbor friends (One of which I have become so very close to).

She (Norma) loves all things Betty Boop. So, for her birthday gift I created a mini envelope album. I decided to keep it simple because she doesn't scrapbook and finds it very intimidating. I figured this would be a great way to get her into scrapbooking. After, receiving her album she wants to create one of her children and grandson.

I love the way envelope album give you pockets to hide journaling on minis.

Thanks for looking. Leave me a comments.

Once again Lead Fiskateer Cheryl has issued a Mix Media Challenge to all Fiskateers. I took Cheryl up on her challenge and made a mini album. I titled it What Spring Means to Me. For this mini I used the following: stamps, acrylic paint, watercolor paint & paper, pattern paper, Fiskars Punches, paint chip samples, DMC Floss, book page, chipboard, Fiskars Rain dots, Marvy Liquid Applique, Polymark Dimensional Fabric Paint, Stickles, bling, several quotes, Fiskars Deco scissors, flocking, homemade shimmer spray, Zig Millennium Pen, Aleene's Quick Dry Glue, adhesive and Pop dots. Thanks for looking. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think. I love to hear from you. Link me if you create your own mix media project I would love to see it.

I wanted to share a mini album that my DD (who is 10yrs old) taught a small group of us (mostly family & friends). I wrote about this on a earlier post. DD was wanting to do and teach a project. I gave her a summer kit. I had from when I use to sell TLC products. I added a few little extras.

I have to say she did an amazing job teaching the little class. She taught a mini tag album.

Here is my version of the album. I hope to give her more opportunities to create and teach little classes.
