Instructions

Step 1 – Create the Woodgrain Frame

Die cut the frame from DCS Natural Twine Kraft Cardstock. Lightly ink the edges and raised woodgrain texture using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink to enhance the realistic wood appearance. Set aside.

Step 2 – Prepare the Background

Trim the Yellow Beehive Pattern Paper to fit behind the frame and adhere it to an A2 card base. Attach the woodgrain frame over the top using Bearly Art Glue.

Step 3 – Build the Beehive

Die cut the beehive from Pop-Tone Banana Split Cardstock and DCS- Textured Yellow Jacket. Blend Mustard Seed Distress Ink around the edges to add soft shading and dimension before adhering it to the center of the card with Tiny Foam Dots.

Step 4 – Add the Honeycomb Accents

Die cut several honeycomb pieces from Pop-Tone Orange Fizz Cardstock. Ink the edges lightly with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and tuck them behind the beehive for extra layers and visual interest.

Step 5 – Die Cut the Foliage & Create the Flowers

Cut the leafy stems and leaves from DCS Textured Bonsai Cardstock and DCS Textured Scottish Highland. Add subtle shading using Crushed Olive and Pine Needles Distress Inks before arranging them around the hive.

Die cut the flower petals from Pop-Tone Grapesicle and Pop-Tone Pink Lemonade Cardstock. Ink the petals with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink for added depth. Cut the flower centers from Pop-Tone Orange Fizz Cardstock and lightly ink them with Spiced Marmalade. Layer the flowers together using Bearly Art Glue

Step 6– Assemble the Floral Arrangement

Arrange the flowers and greenery around the bottom corners of the beehive, creating balanced clusters on each side. Use foam dots on a few flowers to add extra dimension.

Step 7 – Add the Sentiment & Embellish

Die cut the "Bee Happy" sentiment from Pop-Tone Black Licorice Cardstock and adhere it near the top left of the card.

Finish the design by adding a few tiny yellow and lemon gems around the card for a little sparkle and the look of glistening honey.
