I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I sure did! Mother's Day was so much fun. I got to spend the day with my children and my hubby. It just happened to be my hubby's birthday as well.

Now, I wanted to share a layout with you today. It's a mixed media layout. I layered chipboard hearts onto cardstock then gesso over them. I then put Heidi Swapp colorshine and paint on top allowing it to run down the page. once dry I stamped on the layout. Then I created my layout. I foiled the star wood veneer then sanded it a bit to create a grunge rocker look.  Thanks for stopping by.

Feel free to leave me a comment or link up your mixed media layout.

Here are a few close ups for the layout.

I was the first to post a challenge. It's called Celebration of course. It a fun color combo + Sketch challenge.

Here is the layout I created for the challenge.

The papers use on this layout are background yellow honeycomb Glitz -Cashmere Dame, dark green mini dot, blue camera are Amy Tangerine, the light green(it look light yellow in the picture) is Dear Lizzy, yellow large dot is Simple Stories, the medium blue paper is from TLC older paper in my stash. Close up of journaling.
I did the journaling on vellum (it has some gold wavy lines and small dot flowers) I had that vellum in my stash for a while so not sure who made it. I know it was a 12x12 sheet I just cut a bit of it to use on the layout.

All the gold chevron are hand cut from chipboard and covered with gold metallic vellum paper.  The little word strip is from a manufacture strip, Puffy camera & arrow and green swirly flower are Amy Tangerine, AC Glitter tape, enamel & metallic dots, stick pin Joann's. The mist droplets are Color Shine gold from Heidi Swapp & White metallic acrylic paint from Accent

The two shades of orange die cuts are the same shape just one is slightly larger. They are speckled with gesso and metallic white acrylic paint for texture. The little flags are free printable by Banana Fish Studio. The enamel dots are MME, the metallic dots are Heidi Grace, the gold flag is AC glitter tape, the little blue puffy is Amy Tangerine, and the stick pins are from the sewing section at Joann's.
