Snowflake Ornament with Rinea

Hello Crafty Friends - I am  here with a Holiday decoration. This ornament can be used to decorate your tree, presents or just decor around your home or office. It's perfect for gift giving as well.

You just need about 30 minutes and a few supplies.

Supplies Needed:
Lara's Crafts - Wooden Snowflake
Plaid-FolkArt Metallic Silver Paint
Coats Brand Metallic Silver Thread
My Minds Eye Brand Turquoise Bling
Adhesive : Aleene's Tacky Glue
Paint Brush

Step 1: Paint the edges of the wooded snowflake - set aside to dry about 1 minute. * Note: if you do not like using paint you can color you edges with a Metallic Silver Sharpie.

Step: 2 Using the Rinea 3D Rolled Star Die or Stars N More Templates to die cut 2 star maker shapes from Starstruck Turquoise. Using the handle of your paint brush curl the circle edges as indicated on the back of the package. The best art of the Rinea Foil paper is that it holds it shape - but if you prefer you can add a tiny bit of glue. Set aside.

Step 4: trace the snowflake on to the Starstruck Silver foil paper trim and adhere to the wooden snowflake. Repeat this for the other side.

Step 5: Assembly of the snowflake - Start by cutting a part one of the rolled stars. Then, adhere the little cones onto the back of the wooden snowflake. *Note: you can use a glue gun and glue sticks for this process if you prefer unless creating this project with children. Next, cut a length of the silver thread - about 8 inches; then fold in half and tie off one end. Adhere it to the snowflake(this will be your hanger) try to center it.

Step 6: Now, place the other rolled star onto the snowflake - this is the back of the snowflake. Make sure that the points go in between the others.

Step 7: Finishing touches: Now, turn you snowflake over and add a jewel to the center. Your snowflake is complete and ready to hung on your tree, gifts, anywhere that you want to decorate.

Look at the shine!

Merry Christmas with Dies R Us

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a cute Christmas card.  Featuring Lawn Fawn stamps. I combine two set to create this card.

Don't be afraid to combine stamp sets to create your next card.

* Please Note - that in the images below the finished card is shown next to the supplies and the pattern paper is different. I did an update on my laptop and it died. My system crashed and I lost a lot of the images I was needing for this tutorial. I didn't want to re-create the card so I just cut other paper and have images from a previous coloring. Thank you for understanding.

I started by gathering my supplies. Then stamping and coloring the images of the Otters, gifts and candy cane. I only 2 gifts. I also stamped several trees in 3 different colors of Distress Oxide inks.

I then fuzzy cut the images. Next, I tucked in the otters arms a gift and candy cane.
and set them aside.

Next, I die cut 2 stitched hillsides from green pattern paper and 2 waves from two shades of blue cardstock. I also trimmed light blue cardstock for the card front panel as well as a A2 card base.

Then, on the stamped trees I add some details - small flicks of the Peel Paint marker on the pine trees and colored in the trucks with Vintage Photo.

Then, I assemble the card - on a A2 card base I adhered the light blue cardstock leaving about an1/8" border. Next, I adhered the first hillside.  Then, I tucked in the small pine trees creating clusters of 3 on the left and right. Putting only one tree and a gift in the center.

Next, I adhered the medium blue wave. Then, the otters were adhered using low profile foam tape. Next, the light blue wave was adhered using low profile foam tape. Finally, the other hillside as adhered to the wave.

Then, I die cut the word Merry and stamped the word Christmas onto a stitched rectangle piece of white cardstock.  Next, I adhered the rectangle sentiment to the top center of the panel. Then, the Merry just overlapping the rectangle.

Next, I adhered the front panel to the card base leaving about an 1/8" around.  Now your card is complete.

Thanks for The Adventure with Kindred Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends - I am here with a cute thank you card.
Sometimes, we have a special group of friends that help us though the tough times. They take us on fun adventures and make us smile!  .
Using the Up For An Adventure Stamp Set I create this thank you card.
Up for an Adventure
I used patterned paper for the background - since this group of oddball friends dream of world travel I figured a map paper would be great. Matted it on wooden chevron paper. The images are colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. For extra touches I added a bit of washi tape and a bit a gel pen work.

Merry Christmas Polar Bear Greeting with A2Z Scrapbooking

Hello Crafty Friends - I am  here with a softer color version of Christmas colors. This month's theme is Winter Wonderland for A2Z Scrapbooking -  in keeping with this I wanted to have the colors of my card soft.

I used soft pink and soft green instead of the traditional red and green. These colors go perfect with the Polar Bear Greeting stamps in creating a winter wonderland scene.

Note: Polar Bear Greetings has a die set - I did not use them but they are available in the shop.

Wanna Build a Snowman with Simply Crafty SVG

Hello Crafty Friends - I am here with an adorable snowman. He is created by using the New Release from Simply Crafty SVGs called Smiling-Snowman

His head can be removed for gift giving, treat filling or for adding some lights. You can just use him as a decoration. He can be made in about and hour.

I added some snowflakes throughout his body. I did mostly second generation stamping. I used Versa Magic ink in Aegean Blue ans Hero Arts Unicorn  White for the twinkle in his eyes. I used some shimmer cardstock for the hat band and scarf.

You can find the SVG file at the Simply Crafty SVGs Store. Sandy has created both a PDF printable and a video tutorial on how to create this sweet snowman.

Thank you for stopping by!
