I love this picture of my daughter and son posing on top of the van. They were outside with their dad and I watching the shuttle launch. I love their carefree smiles. Their faces as they watched the shuttle up in the sky. Their questions after. I miss those days of wonder.

Now, She's 18 years old and in college and he is 15 years old in high school. They are both so intelligent and funny.

Here are a few pictures of all the little details.
I used some rub-ons (star & heart),  package techniques for the background, some watercolor pencils for the circles, washi tape, puffy hearts, enamel hearts & stars, tissue paper behind the picture, some sequins and some Heidi Swapp  Colorshine in Navy.

I created this layout of our sweet boy Rukkus. He was about 9 weeks old in this picture. My hubby Fran adopted him from the animal shelter. We all fell in love with Rukkus, He made it real easy to fall in love with him. He was such a lovable Pitt bull.

Ok, so now let me tell you about the layout. I did some roller stamping & splatter, stamped some words and rub-ons for  my background. Then cut staggering lengths & widths of pattern paper and layered them. I even used my broader  punch on one. I used some washi tape (checkerboard & Hearts). Added some enamel dots, wood veneers and cork embellishments. The banner is a Heidi Swapp color-able paper. I used Thickers and a pre-made topper for the title.

Thanks for stopping by my blog if you have any questions or comments please feel free to add it to the comment section.

Sharing a shaker card I created using Stampin' Up stamp set Bunch of Blossoms. As well as a Scraptastic Stamp Set.

I started by stamping and embossing the blossoms with white embossing powder. Then I colored with with Tim Holtz Distress Markers. The little jar I stamped on a transparency with Staz-on Gold ink.

I cut the flowers and jar. Layered then and created my shaker card. I add a bit of Zig Wink of Stella on the flowers. I stamped the sentiment and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I also add some itty bitty star sequins on the side of the jar just above the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by. If you create a shaker card please link me to your project.

Today, I am sharing a mermaid card. It seems that everywhere you look these day you can find a mermaid. I thought they where hard to find - you needed to be at sea for many days. lol

So, here is a little about my mermaid. I used a Recollections stamp by Michaels. I colored her with Copic Markers, I then added highlights with a  white Gelly Roll pen. Then I added some twinkle with a Zig Wink of Stella pen in Clear Glitter. For the background I use Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads  and the stencil that cam with the stamp set.

I then stamped the fish, star fish, sand dollars, coral and seashell with various distress inks and Stampin' Up ink. I use Stampin' Up Dapper Denim ink for the sentiment and tiny bubbles.

Finished it off with some Zig Wink of Stella and tiny star sequins.

Thanks for stopping by. If you create a mermaid project of your won leave me a link I would love to see it.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I sure did! Mother's Day was so much fun. I got to spend the day with my children and my hubby. It just happened to be my hubby's birthday as well.

Now, I wanted to share a layout with you today. It's a mixed media layout. I layered chipboard hearts onto cardstock then gesso over them. I then put Heidi Swapp colorshine and paint on top allowing it to run down the page. once dry I stamped on the layout. Then I created my layout. I foiled the star wood veneer then sanded it a bit to create a grunge rocker look.  Thanks for stopping by.

Feel free to leave me a comment or link up your mixed media layout.

Here are a few close ups for the layout.

I this stamped and colored with Distress markers the images. I then busted out the Ranger Stickles and add it to the campfire. Lots of little & extra small star sequins. I stamped the sentiment and embossed it. Punched a banner using my Stampin' Up punch. Finally did some iridescent white paint splatters to create the night sky.

Sharing a layout I created of my beautiful daughter Rowynn wearing her dad's reading glasses. Everyone always tells her that she looks like me with out glasses. So, she put them one and said now we really look alike. Lots of stitching on the heart. I did the packaging technique on the background. I  water-colored the heart and stamped the little glasses and the sub-title beautiful you. Lots of layers and enamel dots.

Sharing a card I created using mostly Amy Tan papers and a new stamp & die set I got. I think I can out so cute. Quick and easy because of the die. I inked the edges of the die cuts with Distress ink and I also stamped the blue paint stroke. Then I used Versa-fine black ink for the sentiment. I used Stampin' Up ink the center pineapple.

Monday, May 8, 2017

So the title of this layout is a bit much for most but, when you read the journaling you will understand. I found this quite funny since my daughter Rowynn never curses. This was on her birthday she had a doctors appointment earlier that day and found out how bad her heart is getting. She was greeted by a nurse who sized her up and down and said "well you're interesting" with a disapproving tone. Then the doctor disapproved of her tattoo.

Later that day she was told by a friend that - his family was disapproving of his lifestyle. It was too much I guess and she finally let it out.

Below are close ups of all the little details. I did some stamping and splatters. Lots of layers, washi and enamel dots too,

Thank for looking.

I think I found it!

I don't know about you but, every so often I lost my Mojo! At times that dang thing is so hard to keep of hold of... I have been really down about family health issues -- so I know that has something to do with it.

I am now feeling that Mojo creeping in and I am welcoming it with arms wide open! I am flooded with ideas. I grabbed my notebook and started jotting & sketching them all down. Revised some of mu Pinterest boards and I feel ready to start some new projects.

All I need now is my craft room to be finished. We're redoing it and I hope we can be done soon. Fresh wall color, new organization items, my new Lexington Cart "Raskog like" from Michaels, New Sewing machine and I even got some new scrapping supplies.

Now, to finish the room. REAL SOON!!!!😂

So, After much thought I took the plunge and signed up to be a Stampin' Up Demo. I am excited about this new venture. I can't wait for my demo kit to arrive and start making some cards and I just finished setting up my demo site.

You can now order all your Stampin' Up products here http://LittleWingsCreates.Stampinup.net

Long Time

Wow, It's been a long time since I posted anything on here. Life has been so crazy for my family. We've been through so many ups and downs in 2014 that I just didn't have the time or even want to post.

Now, we're into 2015 and things are starting to look up. I hope to start posting again. I haven't done much in the scrapping realm because all of my supplies are packed up. Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to unpack them and get back to business.

I am this layout over the holidays. It was for a challenge I posted on Cookin' Up Creations on December 22nd - Ornamental

I created a 2 page layout - I titled it Special Ornaments. I took pictures of the each of our kids holding their baby's first Christmas ornaments. Then all the of the children, hubby & I  holding a special angel ornament that we bought for the baby we lost in 2009. The large family picture has all of us and the angel.

Close up of page 1. I hand cut the two ornaments from pattern paper and added sequins to decorate them.

Close up of page 2.

I love that I got to use older paper from my stash for this layout. I was able to include some newer items to create this 2 pager.
