Sugar Skull Fun with Rinea

Hello Friends - Annie here with a fun project just in time for Halloween. Today, I am making a sugar skull using the Haunted Variety Crafter's Pack This is a pretty easy and quick project.

Let's gather our supplies and get started on our project:
Plastic Skull - Dollar Tree
Plaid Mutli-Surface Paint - White
Aleene's Clear Tacky Glue
Various Dies - Spellbinders, Momenta, Sizzix, Memory Box
Tools: Paint brush, Die Cutting Machine, Scissors

I started by painting my grayish skull white. Then I set it aside to dry.

While the skull was drying I die cut various hearts, flowers, leaves and swirls from the Haunted Variety Crafter's PackViolet/Gold Glossy Foil PaperTurquoise/Gold Glossy Foil Paper

Next, I played around with my arrangement. I pulled out a few pieces of the New Foil Paper Shreds in Starstruck Fuchsia/Fuchsia Foil Paper I used it to right down the front of the head to the tip of the nose. I just adhered the shapes to the skull with the Aleene's Clear Tacky Glue. The liquid glue gives you a bit of wiggle room to adjust the shapes as needed. What I do love about Rinea Foil Paper is that it holds it's shape. Which is perfect for those heart shapes around the eyes and the flowers inside of the eyes. Below are various photos showing all the shapes adhered to the skull.

You can make this as colorful as you would like or monochromatic. It's totally up to you. That's it you have now created a sugar skull for your Halloween decorations.

Thank you for stopping by today - I hope you create a project or two with the wonderful Rinea Foil Paper and share them with us on Social Media!!

Be Happy with Beth Duff Designs

Hello Unicorn Friends - Annie here with a happy rainbow panda card.

I figured even pandas want to be unicorns right!?
I made this pandacorn by combining Cuddle like a Panda set and Unicorn Farts set

Cuddle Like Panda Stamp Set Unicorn Farts

I started by stamping both the panda and unicorn with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Marker Paper. I colored the images with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I only colored the Horn, Mane and tail of the unicorn in a rainbow of course. A bit of IG2 for the panda. Next, I cut away the mane and tail from the unicorn and toss out the rest. I then adhered them to the panda.
 Now, I have a Pandacorn!

I then die cut some clouds, grass and rainbow - set them aside. Next, I cut a card front panel - (A2 size 4-1/4" x 5-1/2") and added a bit of Distress ink in Salty Ocean for my sky. Then, I adhered the grass, rainbow and clouds to the front panel. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Cuddle like a Panda set to the panel on the left side. I also stamped an additional sentiment from the Unicorn Farts set - cut it into a strip, added foam adhesive and adhered it to the front panel. Then, I added some foam adhesive to the pandacorn and placed it on the rainbow. For some finishing touches I added a bit of Silver gel pen to the horn. Also some Wink of Stella to the mane and tail.

Showing the candle and orange lights and glowing in the dark

Showing it again a bit darker room - you can still see a bit of the glow in the dark.

Let it Snow with Doodles Paper Playground

Hello Friends - Today I am bring you another fun card. This one is a winter scene. Penguin, Seal and Polar Bear have all worked real hard on building a snowman.

I created a shaker card and use the New Released Sparkle Blend Frozen. I love this mix it has hues of Blue, soft Teals and white. Some snowflakes, small crystals in both clear and pale blue. This Sparkle Blend along with all the other Sparkle Blend can be purchased at White Rose Crafts LLC

To create the shaker I simply stamped the snowman image and cut away the body leaving only his arms. I then trimmed his buttons, nose and eyes to adhere them to the top of the clear acetate. I stamped and colored the other images. I then fussy cut them out and set them aside. Next, I created the back background on the same card front that I stamped snowman. I use I cloud stencil with Distress Ink to create the snow and to give a bit of color to the sky. I then sprinkled a bit of water and dried it off.

Next, I add a bit of DecoArt Snow Writer to the snow banks I created with the stencil. I also added a bit to snowball pile. Once the snow writer effects were dry I added the buttons, nose and eye to the snowman. I then flipped over the card front panel and put foam adhesive to the back to create the channel for my Frozen Sparkle Blend to sit in - then I placed a small piece of white and silver pattern paper to seal in the Frozen Sparkle Blend. Then, I adhered the card front panel to an A2 teal cardbase.

Next, I adhered the penguin, seal and polar bear using low profile foam adhesive. I adhered to the snowball pile directly to the panel - since it has the snow writer effect it has plenty of dimension. I stamped the sentiment and die cut it on a banner. For finishing touches I add a few sequins from the Frozen Sparkle Blend around the sentiment and snowman. I also added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the accessories (scarf, hat & earmuffs) as well as the sentiment.

Supplies Used:
Spectrum Noir Markers: BT1, TB1, TB2, TB3, OR1, OR2, BGR1, BGR2, IG1, IG2, PP1, BG1, BG2 & Blender pen

Halloween Cards with A2Z Scrapbooking

Hello Friends today I want show you I made two quick Halloween cards. They came together really quickly. I am using the Hero Arts Spooky Labels - Halloween Digital Kit .
image 0

Now let's get started on how I created these cards.

I started by downloading and sizing the Hero Arts Spooky Labels to the size I needed for my cards. Next, I printed them onto Orange Cardstock.

Card #1 - I trimmed the banner label and ink the edges with Hero Arts Black Ink. Then, I trimmed the Trick or Treat Sentiment & the little bat also inking the edges. Next, I trimmed my card panel from green cardstock adhered it to my black cardbase.

Then, I punched a small circle at the top of the banner label and tied some black & white Baker's Twine through it. Next, I trimmed the purple cardstock just a hair smaller than the inner part of the banner label. adhered it to the banner label - then adhered the sentiment with foam adhesive on top of the purple cardstock. I added some foam adhesive to the top and regular adhesive to the rest of the of the banner label place it onto the cardbase. Now, for some finishing touches - I adhered the little bat to the banner centered at the bottom. I popped up his wings with foam adhesive for some added interest. I then place 3 enamel dots in an angle on the corners of the card.

Card #2 - I trimmed the Boo from the printed sheet. I matted it onto the holographic paper. set it aside. Next, I trimmed a card front panel from the Purple cardstock and stamped the triangles and circles onto the panel with Wilted Violet Distress ink. Then, I adhered the purple panel onto some of the holographic orange paper. I then adhered the card panel onto the dark gray cardbase. Next, Die cut the word Happy from green cardstock 3x - next I stacked and adhered each layer so I ended up with a nice thick die cut word. Then, I stamped the -for you- onto a small pieces of lime-green cardstock - I trimmed it down and fishtailed both ends.

Now, that I have all the components ready I put together my card. I adhered the matted Boo onto the purple toward the top of the panel. Next, I adhered the die cut Happy above the boo. added the for you banner underneath using a bit of foam tape. For some finishing touches I add a few enamel dots

I hope you give the Hero Arts Spooky Labels - Halloween Digital Kit .   a try. It's perfect for your quick Halloween cards.

Space Ranger with Rinea Foil Paper

Hello Friends - I am  here with another quick project for you to try out. Today, I am making a layout. I kept this one simple. Just let the photo and paper shine.

I used the Haunted Variety Crafter's Pack to create this layout. I also pulled Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper to accent my photo.

Let's get started by gathering the Supplies:
Heavy Weight Cardstock - White - Recollections Brand
Thickers Alphabets - Daiquiri - in the color Leaf
Tools: Trimmer - Fiskars
Scissors - Fiskars
Die cutting Machine - Cricut - Cuttlebug
Die Cuts & More Double Stitched Stars
Momenta Dies - Single Cut Stars & Shooting Star
Scotch 3M ATG & Quick Dry Craft Glue

To create this layout I cut the Starstruck Ebony Black and the Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper into 2" wide strips. I then trimmed the Starstruck Ebony to 7-1/2" long and the Violet/Gold Glossy Foil Paper to 6-1/2" long. I trimmed the Starstruck Emerald Green to 3-1/4" X 4-1/4" to mat my photo.

Next, I used several dies from Momenta and Die Cuts & More to cut out various sized stars from Startsruck Marigold Orange,  Glossy Marigold/Gold Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. I then used Rinea Ghost InkRinea Starburst Sentiments Stamp Set and Rinea Clear Round Stamp Block to add some details to some of the stars.

The Ghost Ink lifts the color from the Foil Paper creating a two tone look. If you haven't given it a try you really should it's amazing!!

To assemble the layout - I used a 8-1/2" x 10" Heavy Weight White Carstock and  I layered the strips Starstruck Ebony Black and the Violet/Gold Glossy Foil paper and adhered them toward the bottom of my cardstock. Then, I layered my photo onto the Starstruck Emerald Green Foil Paper adhered into place. Next, I adhered the photo on top of the layered strips. I then adhered the stars around and above the photo - Creating clusters. Making sure to have the three colors of the stars spread out evenly throughout. To finish the layout I used some Thickers in Daiquiri-Leaf.

I hope you give Rinea Foil Paper a try on your next layout. It's so easy to use and it provides the prefect touch to any layout!!

Happy Fall with Dies R Us

Hello Friends - Today I  have a cute fall card. This card is a fun dimensional card - creating a full scene with a pull up raccoon from the pile of leaves.

Now in the pile leaves is our friend Mr. Raccoon.

How I created this dimensional fun card. I started with a card panel - A2 size, I applied Distress Oxide Ink in Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac moving from the base of the panel. Next, I sprinkled with some water and set aside to dry. I also have ready to go 2 more A2 Panels in kraft and Brown cardstock.

I then stamped the animals (Squirrel, Porcupine and Raccoon), Apple and Acorn and Leaves (from my stash - I have linked a stamp that you can use to create a leaf pile) using Memento Tuxedo black ink. i then colored the images using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. Next, I fussy cut them out - the coordinating dies are available I do not own them. Set them aside.

Then, I die cut the clouds 3x, hillsides 2x and frame from pattern paper. Next, I decided where I wanted my leaf pile and raccoon to be on the panel. I then die cut the slider from the Distress inked panel. I also cut 2 pieces of cardstock measuring 2" wide by 4-1/4" long from brown cardstock - I scored them at every 1/2"  these are for side panels. This creates 2 accordion panels.

Now, that I have all my components it's time to put the card together. I start by cutting a simple rectangle into a card panel from kraft cardstock a bit larger than the scallop frame. I then adhered the frame to the kraft cardstock. Next, I layered  two of the clouds and adhered them to the top of the Distress inked panel. I also adhered one leaf to the panel. I flip the panel over and add foam tape to panel creating a channel for the pull slider to move freely.  I glue the piece of the slider (the part that is positive) to a thin piece of brown cardstock measuring 1/4" by 3" - this is what I glued my raccoon to - this creates a more finished look. Next, I placed it into place from the back of the Distress panel.

Now, I adhered the accordion side panels to the distress panel. Then, I removed the foam adhesive liners and placed the Brown cardstock panel onto the back of the distress panel making sure the slider is in the channel and moving freely up and down. Next, I attached the raccoon onto the slider I just used a bit of foam tape. I then adhered a leaf on the raccoon's head. Set aside.

Then, adhere the leaf pile to one of the hillside and then adhere the hillside to one side of the accordion panel. I repeat to the other side. Again, making sure that the raccoon can move freely up and down. Next, I adhere to the back of the frame one of the cloud and the hillside. I then flipped over the frame and adhered the squirrel and porcupine to the front of the hillside. Then, gave them a acorn and apple to give to one another as a happy fall gift.  Next, I adhered the frame to the card side accordion panels I used clips to hold in place until the glue sets. I then, stamped the sentiment onto kraft cardstock adhered it to the banner die cut and added a few leaves to each side. Finishing touches- I added some sequins to 2 of the corners of the card.

Now you have a finished dimensional Happy Fall Card.
Thank you so very much for stopping by today be sure to share your creations with us!!

Around The World Cardmaking Day - My Creative Space with Joy Clair

Hello Friends - Thanks for stopping by today. I am sharing with you a bit of my crafty space. This is the view of my craft table. I am very fortunate to have an entire room to craft in but, unfortunately we had to do some repairs to our home to fix our AC unit which has a adjoining wall to my room. so I won't to able to share the rest of my room because it's a hot mess.

This is the table were I do all my cards and layouts. It's a 6 foot long table. which gives me plenty of room to spread out. Sometimes I do just that. I am only showing you a 3' area because I have other Design Team work on the other side.

My inks are stored in an recycled cassette tape holder. Alcohol markers are stored in a marker tower by Crafter's Companion. My other markers and pens are stored in a Recollections marker storage. I have over the sink self - I painted turquoise to raise things of my desk. I have plenty of baskets to hold my Nuvo Drops, Liquid Pearls and mini ink pads. I have plenty of light throughout my room. A few cute stamps to inspire me.

I have a desk with my computer and printer to the left of this table. Also behind my chair I have another table with my Brother Scan n Cut & Silhouette Cameo. A wall of storage behind that not pictured. Strange things I have in my craftroom - a collection of Sugar Skulls. Fun things I have in my craftroom - Funko Pop Figures - All the Animanics (Yakko, Wakko and Dot), Bob Ross, Groot & Rocket Raccoon and a Minion. Also a collection of cameras.

I hope you enjoyed this quick peek into my creative space. Thanks for stopping by!!

Around the World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop with Joy Clair

Hello Friends - I was invited by Joy Clair to be a Guest Designer and create a card for World Card Making Day. I am so honored to a part of the fun and festivities of World Card Making day. This is a hop will have you so inspired. I hope you participate in the activities.

I created this card using the Joy Clair Bee Kind Stamp Set. I made this fun shaker card.

Supplies used are as follows: Joy Clair Bee Kind Stamp Set, Inks: Tsukineko StazOn Jet Black Ink & Memonto Tuxedo Black Ink, Zig Wink of Stella Glitter Pen - Clear, Recollections Heavy Weight Card stock - White, Dark Yellow & Black, Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers: CT3, CT4, GY4, AB1 & Blender, Darice Brand Sequins & Beads.

I stamped out the bees twice and the hive. I colored my images with Spectrum Noir Markers. I then fuzzy cut the out and set them aside. I die cut the hexagon background from dark yellow cardstock and frame from black carstock I used the negative instead of the frame.

I then adhered the hexagon background to an A2 card base. Next, I adhered the Hive to the top left of the card making sure that the frame did cover it. Next I stamped the Bee trail onto the background.  I added a bit of shimmer spray over the Hive and background set aside to dry.

I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of acetate with StazOn Jet Black Ink. I adhered the acetate to the back of my black frame. Next, I took a two small pieces of black wire about an 1" long and formed a V shape. I then used needle nose pliers to curl the ends to make two of the Bee's antenna. I then adhered three of the Bees on the front. I then flipped it over an added a double layer of foam tape. Next, I brush my embossing power tool onto the inside of the card front so that way it wouldn't have any stickiness. I added mix of beads and sequins to the card front. I then adhere the hexagon background to the card front. Flipped it over and I shook my card.

Image may contain: text

For this hop - Rainbow Challenge I have created a card featuring the Doodle Flowers Stamp Set. I wanted to make a Rainbow bunch of flowers because nothing is more happy than a bunch of pretty colored flowers!!

So let's gather the supplies and get started:
Joy Clair Doodle Flowers Stamp Set
Tsukineko VersaMark Watermark Ink Pad
Tsukinneko Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink - Broken China and Forest Moss
Ranger Gold Embossing Powder
EK Success Powder Tool
Spectrum Noir Markers - GY4, CT3, CT4, DR1, DR7,PL2, PL3, PL4, PL5, CR5, CR6, CR8, TB3, TB4, OR2, OR3, AG2 & AG3
Heavy Weight 110lbs - White, Black & Glitter Gold Cardstock Recollections Brand
Heavy Weight Vellum - Recollections Brand
Washi Tape - Gold and Hearts - Recollections Brand
Word Dies - Memory Box

I stamped the Doodle Flowers  bouquet, several flower tops, Stems and leaves onto alcohol friendly paper using Memento Ink.  I also stamped extra stems and leaves with Tim holtz Distress Oxide ink - Forest Moss. Then, colored them with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I then fussy cut out the flowers and stems.

Next, I rubbed the vellum with some powder from my EK Success Powder tool and stamped the Jar with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Gold embossing powder on to Vellum. I then fussy cut it out and set it aside with my flowers. Then, I die cut the words Happy Anniversary 3x from heavy weight cardstock and once from glitter cardstock.

Now, I am ready to assemble my card. I start by sponging a bit of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Broken China onto a scrap piece of paper large enough to fit the back of the jar. Then, I cut a small slit in the top of the vellum jar. Now, on the back of the vellum jar I use some foam adhesive around the edge - (creating a shaker card) I then, placed a few gold sequins onto the inked paper and placed vellum jar on top of the inked paper. creating a shaker. trimmed away excess paper if needed.

Next, I insert the bouquet flowers & leaves into the jar arranging them & gluing them into place. Set aside. Now, I cut two pieces of washi tape one in a solid gold and another with hearts, I layer them towards the bottom of my card cutting the end in an angle. Then, I adhere the Vellum Shaker Jar with Flowers on top of the washi tape trying my best to center it.

Now, I arrange the remaining flower tops and stems at the base of the jar. Making sure to tuck in a few leaves. I set my card as side to dry while I work on my sentiment. I start stacking and gluing the layers of the die cut words making sure the line them up. I place a few acrylic block on top of them while the dry. Once the die cut words are dry I adhere them to my card. Again, placing some acrylic block on top to set them in place. For some finishing touches I add a few Nuvo Drops in Pale Gold to the centers of the Flowers.
